Brassø is an elongated lake with varied depth curves, which are related to Silkeborg Langsø and Julsø. The lake is located in central Jutland Søhøjland and close to Silkeborg. Brassø had a really good fishing for zander in the past, but it has become bad after the hiking mussel came to the Gudenå system and filtered the water so that the unclear water that the zander thrives in are disappearing. Good fishing for large pike and neat perch over 40 cm. In the lake there are pike, perch, zander, sea trout, eel and various coarse fish.
