Almind Lake is located at the southwest end of Silkeborg, with drains down to the Gudenåen.
Almind Lake is a very deep lake and the water in the lake is very clean, as there is no field drainage or wastewater and the lake is primarily provided from springs in the lakes bottom. Almindsø is approx. 4 km in circumference.
There are ample opportunities for fishing. In the lake there are pike, perch, zander, seatrout, eel and various coarse fish.
Benches are placed around the lake if you need a break after the many casts.

The Silkeborg Fisheries Association has fishing rights to the most of Almind Lake. With them you may want to buy a daily license or sign up for the association.
