The lakes are located in a gravel pit around Himmelev north of Roskilde. The gravel pit is relatively high in the terrain, and the upland of the lakes is presumably predominantly limited to the gravel pit itself.
Apart from a smaller source range from east to the northern lake, there are no visible inlets or drains, and the lakes are probably in connection with the groundwater. In the lakes there are the usual fish species we find in a Danish lake; perch pike and roach.
Note that the two northernmost lakes are private and require the owner's permission to fish!
You must have a valid national fishing license to fish here - you may also need a fishing permit from an association or a private owner. Buy your national fishing license via the link below.
Season is only indicative and you must always read up on conservation times for the individual species and fishing spots.
